Since 2014, Action for Women Foundation (AWF) has been at the forefront of advocating for the rights, dignity, and empowerment of vulnerable women and girls across Rwanda. Our organization is committed to fostering an environment where every woman and girl can realize her full potential, access equal opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to her community.
A peaceful society where social justice prevails, gender equality is the norm, and women and girls are empowered to lead, innovate, and inspire change. We envision a society where women are free from violence, discrimination, and economic marginalization—creating a ripple effect of positive transformation across generations.
To empower women and girls through advocacy, education, and support, enabling them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
We strive to influence policies and challenge societal norms that hinder gender equality. Through awareness campaigns, policy dialogue, and advocacy initiatives, we aim to amplify marginalized voices and promote a culture of respect and justice.
Our programs are designed to enhance women’s economic participation by providing vocational skills, entrepreneurial training, and access to financial services. We believe economic independence is a cornerstone for social empowerment and community development.
AWF works tirelessly to normalize gender equality across all sectors. We promote inclusive practices that ensure women’s representation in leadership, decision-making, and community development.
Empowering women with practical skills in tailoring, agriculture, crafts, ICT, and more. These workshops enhance employability and entrepreneurial capacity, enabling women to generate sustainable income.
Addressing reproductive health, mental health, nutrition, and gender-based violence. Our health initiatives include awareness workshops, counseling, and health screenings.
Providing women with budgeting, savings, and investment knowledge. We facilitate access to microfinance schemes to start or grow businesses.
Building leadership skills among women and girls, encouraging active participation in community decision-making and policy processes.
Support us: Volunteer, donate, advocate. Your support expands our impact.
